I have two mobile phones with three SIM cards, six different email addresses for communication, one orkut account, one facebook account and one Linkedin account. This is a network that is creating a virtual society. I am connected to my society by mobile phones at 24x7 and by mails and social networking accounts at my will. Time is passing very very fast. We have no time to stand and stare. We do not have time to meet someone personally. Every body is busy and always on their heels. All the time we are under some responsibilities. There is very little time for leisure. It is my dream to take a day off from my virtual society. I think that this dream is cherished by almost all of us today or tomorrow.
Few days ago I read an article on the daily routine of Abanindra Nath Tagore and other family persons mentioned by his daughter. He used to take a stroll in the garden of Thakur Bari in the morning to feel the nature. Then breakfast and a glass of milk followed by creative art works that would end at 12 noon. After bath he used to take lunch and then cool rest with his borthers up to 3 pm in the after noon, at their down-stair room of marbel floor. Pankha puller would fan them gently. In the evening all the family members and local guest would meet in the garden. Those were social parties with human touch. All the members used to enjoy. After the party the elders used to tell stories to the children. Such a serene atmosphere certainly would fill the heart of all the members, made them creative, made them humane.
Today we are rushing to nowhere. We are always complaining with some thing or other. Always longing for more - "yeh dil maange more" - an eternal "dissatisfaction".
Let us meet people. Let us try to give some time to our family and friends. Let us spent some time to their causes. Let us go near to the nature. Let us write letters in our own hand and feel the difference. Let us move our clock backward and enjoy the human touch.
To get satisfaction is also an art. Every body cannot get contentment. Few people are blessed with this rare virtue of getting satisfaction. So be happy and be satisfied.
