Check BSNL Broadband Usage

For checking BSNL broadband, BSNL has provided four Selfcare Portals for different regions of India.

(A) For the first time users

Step-1. Click the appropriate link depending on your region.
Step-2. Now register your account with BSNL portal. Click on the link  User Registration (for Existing BSNL Customers).
Step-3. The following screen will appear.
Fill in the following information in the textboxes provided in the dialog box.

  • Customer Id/Unique Id: Enter your Customer Id/Unique Id present in your printed telephone bill.
  • User Id: User Id should contain atleast one alphabet and atleast one digit, should be minimun of 5 characters and maximun of 30 characters. Special characters other than underscore(_), dot(.), hyphen(-), at(@) are not allowed.
  • Password: Choose a password having a minimum length of 8 characters. Password should have at least one alphabet and at least one digit.
  • Challenge Question: Enter a challenge question to be used in case you forget your password. E.g. What is the name of your pet? What is the name of your first school? 
  • Answer to Challenge Question: Enter the answer to the challenge question.
  • Email: Enter your valid email address.
  • Do you have Broadband: Select Y if you have broadband otherwise select N.
  • BB User Id: If you select Do you have broadband value as Y then you need to provide your Bradband user id. It is provided you by the BSNL when you have been given the broadband connection for the first time.

Step-4: Click on the Next Button on the top, left of the dialog box.

(B) Checking the usage

Step-1: Go to the website of appropriate region. Type the userid and password in the User Login window.

Step-2: Go to the Service Tab
Click on Check My Boradband Unbilled Usage Details for detailed usage. 
Provide the phone number from the dropdown menu, put the dates by clicking on the calendar button beside each textbox. Click the Go button.
The broadband usage will be sorted in the manner 'Latest first -- Oldest last'. Click on the > arrow button to see the older dates.

(C) Free software to check the BSNL broadband usage

Step-1: Go to the website of ShaPlus Software

Download the appropriate (depending on the region) BSNL Broadband Usage Finder.zip file and save it in your harddisk. Unzip it in any folder in your harddisk. Double click on BSNL Broadband Usage Finder (South and East).exe to run the program. This is a standalone program. Make a shortcut on the desktop. Double click on it whenever you require to run it.
Step-2: Put the necessary information in the first screen.
Step-3: Click on the Check Broadband Usage and you will get the following Report, Charts and Summary etc.
